Head Over Heels for Honey

with Denise Deacon

$35

At All Saints

Depending on its nectar source, honey can be floral, fruity, smoky, woody, spicy, nutty or earthy. It can look as clear as water or as dark as molasses. Expand your honey horizons and become more engaged in your consumption of it with a deeper knowledge ... be more able to pinpoint authentic honey vs. the adulterated fake stuff! Denise will present lots of interesting information about how honey is created by this amazing beneficial pollinator, while you sample 10 different honeys* from around our country. *Note - You will be sampling raw honey.

A founding member and five-year past-president of the Outer Banks BeeKeepers’ Guild, DENISE DEACON has earned the accreditation of “Master Beekeeper” from the North Carolina State Beekeeper’s Association. Up to her elbows in honey bees for over 10 years, Denise’s passion for these winged creatures is evidenced by her dedicated time as a mentor to “new-bees” and as a local speaker.
