Tai Chi
with Kathi Neal

At All Saints
This event is free, but donations are welcome at the door.
Tai Chi offers a unique blend of movement, mindfulness, and wellness, making it more than just an exercise—a journey toward harmony. Originating as an influential martial art, Tai Chi has evolved into a practice that nurtures both the body and mind through its slow, graceful movements. Imagine flowing through each posture with the rhythm of your breath, cultivating a serene yet invigorating state that clears the mind and energizes the spirit.
I approach teaching Tai Chi with a fresh perspective, especially for newcomers. She aims to create a peaceful, calming atmosphere while stimulating the imagination through movement. Each class is like a dance, where the focus is on balance and centeredness, helping to restore your mental clarity and physical strength.
Kathi, a seasoned personal trainer, brings over a decade of experience in Balance training and Tai Chi to her classes at the Outer Banks YMCA. She offers tailored individual training sessions, whether at the Y or in the comfort of her home. You'll discover the joy of moving with intention and grace with her guidance.
While Tai Chi is known for its low-impact nature and overall safety, it's wise to consult with a medical professional before diving in, especially for those who are older, pregnant, or dealing with back pain or osteoporosis. Kathi encourages you to take a step towards this wonderful practice; it might transform your wellness approach!
The Labyrinth: Find Yourself at the Center.
with Kathy Cawthon

At All Saints
Join us for an engaging class on labyrinths, ancient symbols of wholeness used for over four thousand years. A labyrinth is a winding path with one entrance, guiding you inward for reflection before you return to the outside world.
Labyrinths serve many purposes: prayer, meditation, stress relief, and creativity enhancement. With over 6,000 registered labyrinths worldwide, they can be found in diverse locations, such as hospitals, schools, and parks.
In this workshop, we’ll explore the history, uses, and benefits of labyrinths accompanied by stunning images. Afterward, you'll have the chance to walk the labyrinth at All Saints!
Kathy Cawthon, a Veriditas-trained labyrinth Facilitator and representative of The Labyrinth Society, will lead the session. We look forward to sharing this enriching experience with you!
