Surf Fishing
with Lloyd Minerich
At All Saints
Surf fishing is art; it's not just about casting a line into the waves. To truly master it, you need to understand the intricacies of the beach—how to read the tides, identify the best spots, and choose the right gear and bait. The thrill comes from knowing when to cast your line and what fish to target.
Lloyd Minerich, a seasoned recreational angler with 60 years of experience, has spent over 15 of those years honing his surf fishing skills along the beautiful coastlines of Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. Among these, the Outer Banks holds a special place in his heart. It's a fishing paradise, offering many opportunities that keep Lloyd returning year after year.
He primarily seeks out speckled trout, red drum, bluefish, and sea mullet. As an active Outer Banks Anglers Club member, Lloyd has had the privilege of fishing alongside seasoned locals—the old-timers who have mastered these waters over decades. Their stories and knowledge have enriched Lloyd's understanding of the sport, turning each fishing trip into an adventure filled with camaraderie and shared passion. With every cast, he chases fish, the thrill of tradition and the joy of connecting with nature.
